Computer

        Computer is an electronic machine which can calculate large type of data without any mistake and high speed. It has the ability to retrieve, store data and process data information. We probably already know that we can use a computer to type document, playing games, send email, and browse the web. We can also use a computer to edit or create documents, spreadsheets, presentations, photos, videos, etc.

Advantages of a computer

  • Computer is a very fast device.
  • It is calculate very large amount of data.
  • It perform all with 100% accuracy provided that the input is correct.
  • A computer can store large amount of data as like images, videos, documents, text, audio, etc.
  • It can work continuously without any mistake and boredom.
  • It is very flexible in performing the jobs and solve the problems related to various fields.
  • A computer is an automatic and reliable machine.

Disadvantage of a computer

  • A computer is a machine that cannot take any decision on its own.
  • It has no intelligence to perform any task.
  • A computer function as per instruction of the user, so it is fully dependent on humans.
  • The computers has no fillings or emotions.


Function of Computer, Niraj Tutorials

It has mainly four function.

  1. Receive Input
  2. Process Information
  3. Produce Output
  4. Store Information

Receive Input

Accept information from outside through various input device like Keyboard / Mouse.
  • Any information or data sent to a computer using on an input devices.
  • An input devices is a process of entering data and instructions into a computer.
  • It allows we to internet with and control it.

Process Information

Perform a systematic or logical operation on data in order to convert into useful information
  • CPU is considered as the brain of computer.
  • CPU performs all type of data processing as like store data, results and programs.
  • It controls operation of all parts of the computer.


Produce output

Communicate information the outside word through various output devices like Monitor / Printer. The process of producing useful information and results for the user as like print reports or visual display. The produce output devices with the help of which we get information from the computer.


Store Information

Store the information in Storage devices like Hard-disk / CD Drive. It is the storage space in the computer, where we can store processed and instructions required data.
